Excluded Records

Whole records and/or words can be excluded from the Search criteria. Records that come up as a possible Match, AND have been verified to not be a match, can be excluded from future searches.

To add a name to the exclude list:

  1. Click on the record or name desired for exclusion in the View / Map Data screen.
  2. Verify in the popup menu that the selected name should be added to the list.
  3. Click on Yes in the confirmation popup and the record or name will be added to the Excluded Records List and NOT be used in future searches.

Excluded Records will be displayed with a red 'EXCLUDED RECORD' on the mapping page.

Individual record names can also be added to the list (e.g., Co., inc., the).

The Excluded Records can be viewed by clicking on the Excluded Records button.

Information on Excluding Words

Individual Words can be added to the Excluded Words list (e.g., LTD, Inc., Co., etc.). The Excluded Words List can be viewed by clicking on the Excluded Words button. Excluded Words will NOT be used in future searches.
